If the life miseries or failures are too many or too deep, the advice to get over them loses any meaning.
You cannot step over them by an act of willpower, because they dug holes into your mind.
Usually, the holes are simply filled with the ordinary things you do instead of the unfulfilled ideals.
Once the wholes are blocked up in this way, the effort of mind to raise itself to new ideals seems dangerous. The mind risks exposing to anybody else its new low composition, after it brought into it a lot of ordinary things.
